Just a quick roundup from Rich about week 2 of the Air cadets alpine climbing course - for this second week the teams were climbing at 2:1 in order to gain furthur experience on technical routes and terrain. The group all did a rock lead coaching day in the Aosta valley, traversed the Aiguille D’Entreves independantly and made an ascent of the spectacular Dent du Geant. In addition, goup leaders were also able to exdend themselves on a few harder routes, including Venus near the Dalmazzi hut on the Italian side of the range.
